MGM, Six Flags, and MySpace
Launch 'FAME National Talent Search' -- How Will You Use This Story? -- Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), Six Flags, Inc., and MySpace have launched the "FAME National Talent Search" to coincide with the theatrical release of "FAME"--which opens nationwide on Friday, September 25th. They are looking to give the most-talented actors, singers, musicians, and dancers in the nation their own shot at fame. One grand-prize winner will receive the following: a $5,000 cash prize; a photo spread in OK! Magazine; a 5-day/4-night trip to Hollywood, where he or she will be able to meet and greet both a top talent agent and a studio executive; a $250 Sephora gift card; and a VIP card from Johnny Rockets (valued at $1,500). Plus, the winner's final performance will "live forever" on the "FAME" DVD. One finalist from each of the six parks--as well as one MySpace finalist--will be selected to compete in front of a panel of celebrity judges in the National Finals, on Saturday, September 5th, at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. (near Los Angeles). A reinvention of the original Oscar®-winning hit film, "FAME" follows a talented group of dancers, singers, actors, and artists over four years at the New York City High School of Performing Arts--a diverse, creative powerhouse where students from all walks of life are given a chance to live out their dreams and achieve real and lasting fame...the kind that comes only from talent, dedication, and hard work.
