Public Service Announcements from Dex® Concerning Phone-Book Recycling -- How Will You Use This Story? -- The number-one reason people don't recycle their old phone books is because they simply don't know the "where's" and "how's" of doing so. Since 1991, more than 240,500 tons--or more than 493 million pounds--of outdated Dex® phone books have been recycled. Had these phone books not been recycled, they would have stretched more than 22,300 miles, when laid end to end; that would stretch from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles more than five times. AUDIO
