DISTRACTED-DRIVING DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN; IT'S A CHOICE.  AND, ADULTS NEED TO BE GOOD ROLE-MODELS FOR YOUNGER DRIVERS.  STUDIES SHOW THAT TEENS ARE MORE LIKELY TO DRIVE DISTRACTED--BUT TEENS WHOSE PARENTS ENGAGE IN DISTRACTED-DRIVING ARE EVEN MORE LIKELY TO DRIVE DISTRACTED.  ACCORDING TO THE "DRIVING-SCHOOL ASSOCIATION OF THE AMERICAS", IN 2012, OVER THREE-THOUSAND PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN CRASHES INVOLVING A DISTRACTED-DRIVER--AND NEARLY A HALF-MILLION PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN CRASHES BY A DISTRACTED-DRIVER.  DRIVING-SCHOOLS CAN TEACH STUDENTS HOW TO DRIVE.  BUT, THEY NEED HELP--FROM PARENTS AND PEERS--TO TEACH THEM TO BE RESPONSIBLE.  ALL DRIVERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE RISKS OF DISTRACTED-DRIVING, RECOGNIZE THE DANGER, AND MAKE SMART DECISIONS.  FRIENDS AND FAMILY-MEMBERS NEED TO USE THEIR INFLUENCE, TO STEER OTHERS TOWARD RESPONSIBLE DRIVING-BEHAVIOR.  THE BOTTOM-LINE IS: SPEAKING UP COULD SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE.  LEARN MORE ABOUT PREVENTING DISTRACTED-DRIVING, AT "FACEBOOK"-DOT-COM-SLASH-"AUTO-ALLIANCE".
