Americans Need to Plan for Dealing with a Disability that Would Result in Them Being Unable to Work State Farm ConsumerFeature

READER SCRIPT RESEARCH SHOWS THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE OF THE LIKELIHOOD OF A LIFE-CHANGING DISABILITY: THE COUNCIL FOR DISABILITY AWARENESS REPORTS THAT ONE-IN-THREE WORKERS WILL BECOME DISABLED, FOR THREE MONTHS OR MORE, DUE TO ILLNESS OR INJURY. AND, 90-PERCENT OF THOSE DISABILITIES WILL BE THE RESULT OF ILLNESSES--NOT ACCIDENTS. FOR MANY AMERICANS, THE ABILITY TO EARN A PAYCHECK IS THEIR MOST-VALUABLE ASSET. THEREFORE, ANYONE WHO WORKS NEEDS TO HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE, TO HELP PROTECT THEIR PAYCHECK; IF THEY DON'T, THEY COULD BE PUTTING THEIR FINANCIAL-FUTURE AT RISK. AN INDEPENDENT SURVEY BY THE "STATE FARM CENTER FOR WOMEN AND FINANCIAL SERVICES" AT THE AMERICAN COLLEGE FOUND THAT THE TYPICAL AMERICAN-WORKER IS ALREADY CONCERNED ABOUT THE ADEQUACY OF THEIR FINANCES: WHEN FACED WITH THE THOUGHT OF A DISABILITY, 62-PERCENT OF THE RESPONDENTS WERE NOT CONFIDENT THAT THEIR FAMILY WOULD HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO MAINTAIN THEIR CURRENT-LIFESTYLE. AND, NEARLY ONE-THIRD DIDN'T FEEL THAT THEY COULD EVEN COVER BASIC-EXPENSES, IF THEY BECAME DISABLED. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW YOU CAN HELP PROTECT BOTH YOUR PAYCHECK AND YOUR FAMILY'S FINANCIAL-FUTURE, SEE A STATE FARM-AGENT--OR VISIT "STATE-FARM"-DOT-COM.
