(GILL):
"WHILE MANY OLDER NEW-JERSEYANS ARE CURRENTLY SAVING FOR RETIREMENT, OUR SURVEY FOUND THAT TWO-IN-THREE ARE ANXIOUS ABOUT HAVING ENOUGH MONEY TO ACTUALLY RETIRE.
MOST OF OUR RESPONDENTS AGREE THAT SAVING FOR RETIREMENT THROUGH WORK IS IMPORTANT.
AND, SEVEN-IN-10 SUPPORT A STATE-PLAN THAT WOULD HELP RESIDENTS BUILD THEIR OWN, PRIVATE RETIREMENT-SAVINGS.
SUCH A PLAN SHOULD BE BOTH EASY-TO-USE AND LOW-COST; IT SHOULD ALSO FOLLOW EMPLOYEES, FROM JOB TO JOB.
WHAT'S MORE, FOUR-IN-FIVE AGREE THAT NEW-JERSEY'S ELECTED-OFFICIALS SHOULD SUPPORT A STATE-PLAN THAT ALLOWS ALL RESIDENTS TO SAVE FOR RETIREMENT THROUGH WORK.
AND, THREE-IN-FIVE WOULD THINK MORE POSITIVELY OF LOCAL SMALL-BUSINESSES THAT OFFER THEIR EMPLOYEES SUCH A PLAN."
