(TAYLOR):
"
THIS ELECTION-YEAR, THERE ARE MANY ISSUES TO DISCUSS.  BUT, FEW ARE AS IMPORTANT TO OUR MORE THAN 280-THOUSAND MEMBERS, IN MISSISSIPPI, AS THE FUTURE OF 'SOCIAL SECURITY':  MORE THAN 630-THOUSAND PEOPLE RECEIVE 'SOCIAL SECURITY', THROUGHOUT THE STATE.  AND, THE MAJORITY OF THEM RELY ON IT FOR AT LEAST HALF OF THEIR INCOME--WHILE ABOUT A THIRD RELY ON IT FOR 90-PERCENT, OR MORE, OF THEIR INCOME.  THAT'S WHY IT'S VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT ALL OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES HAVE A PLAN TO UPDATE 'SOCIAL SECURITY', FOR THE 21ST-CENTURY.  EMPLOYER-PENSIONS ARE VANISHING; THE COST OF HEALTHCARE AND OTHER NECESSITIES KEEPS GOING UP.  YET, MORE PEOPLE THAN EVER MAY LIVE INTO THEIR 80'S, 90'S, OR BEYOND--WITH LIMITED MEANS TO PAY THE BILLS.  IF OUR LEADERS DON'T ACT, FUTURE RETIREES COULD LOSE UP TO 10-THOUSAND DOLLARS, A YEAR.  THAT'S WHY 'A-A-R-P' HAS LAUNCHED AN ELECTION-ACCOUNTABILITY CAMPAIGN, CALLED 'TAKE A STAND'.  WE'RE URGING MISSISSIPPIANS TO JOIN US, IN CALLING ON EVERY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TO TELL VOTERS WHAT THEIR PLANS ARE, TO KEEP 'SOCIAL SECURITY' STRONG.  AND, WE'RE KEEPING TRACK OF WHAT THE CANDIDATES HAVE BEEN SAYING ABOUT THE ISSUE, AT '20-16-TAKE-A-STAND'-DOT-ORG."
